They may serve breakfast all day, but we preferred to indulge in gelato for dinner at Sugar Café on New York City’s Lower East Side. Kate, Brittany and I may have started the night at Lolita Bar, where happy hour margaritas were $5 and draft beer was $3. But, after hearing the hilarious Alice Bradley of Finslippy fame speak about Park Slope’s $4 ice cream scoops at the monthly Restless Legs travel reading series, my friends from travel journalism class and I were craving some $4 ice cream scoops of our own. This morning on the Today show, Dr. Nancy Snyderman said that, when you need a sweet treat, just make it your entreé. So really we were being healthy.
